RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDED URBAN RENEWAL PLAN FOR
THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REHABILITATION AND REDEVELOPMENT AREA NUMBER 26.
WHEREAS, said revised plan for Community Development Rehabilitation and
Redevelopment Area Number 26 has been approved by the Planning and Zoning
Commission of the City of Lubbock; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest
of the citizens of Lubbock that this plan be adopted; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the amended Urban Renewal Plan for the Community Development Rehabili-
tation and Redevelopment Area Number 26 be amended to incorporate the revised
Plan attached herewith.
Passed by the Council this 23rd day of Ju 19 1.

WHEREAS, a Land Use Plan Amendment to the amended Urban Renewal Plan for
the
Community
Development Rehabilitation and Redevelopment Area Number 26,
dated September 22, 1977, as approved and adopted by the City's governing
body on November 7(heelreto as the ferred
pre-
sented tothibboddyandhasbeenstudied by thplanning staff and by the
members of this body; and
WHEREAS, the revised proposed Land Use Plan Map, Ebit � II, of said
Plan has been reviewed and studied by the City's
s Planning impartment and has
been found to be acceptable; and
WHEREAS, the Plan as revised has been found to conform to the generaCity, to be related to definite local objectives as to appropriate
plan of the
land use, improved traffic, public transportation, utilities, recreational
and cam=1ity facilities, and other public improvements and to be compatible
with plans of development prospects for the neighborhood of district of which
the project area is a part; and
WHEREAS, said Plan containing the revised Proposed Land Use Plan Map for
said Project needs to be recognized as a guide for the redevelopment of the
area and recommended to the City Council for approval;
NOPE, FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT said revised Plan for the community Development Rehabilitation
and Redevelopment Area Number 26 be and is hereby approved and re-
commended to the City Council of the City of Lubbock as a guide for
the continued redevelopment of the area.

Harry Stokley, Jr., the above and foregoing Resolution was pa
ssed day of June , 1981, by the following vote:
Commissioners voting "AYE": Bob Schmidt, Harry Stokley, Jr., Jim Ratliff,
David Hester and Bob Covington.
