Home My WebLink AboutResolution - 893 - Right Of Way Offer-JM & Neoma Wheat-Aves K&L Widening, Tracts B&C Texas Ave Add - 08/27/19811 e o JWF . pc RESOLUTION 893 - 8/27/81 AVG RESOLUTION WHEREAS, certain lands as hereinafter described are needed for the widenin� and reallingin.g of a portion of Avenues K and L in the City of Lubbock to improve movement and safety of traffic; and, WHEREAS, it is expedient to purchase said lands for such purposes and the owner thereof is agreeable to selling and conveying such land to the City of I Lubbock for the consideration hereinafter stated; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Right of Way Department of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to purchase for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock the fee simple title to Tracts B and C, Texas Avenue Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas from J. M. Wheat and wife, Neoma Wheat. SECTION 2. THE consideration to be paid for such land purchase is $18,870.00, which is hereby determined to be the fair market value of such property.
