HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 956 - Agreement - LUTS Steering Committee - Unified Work Program FY 1982 - 11/12/1981V©l DP:cl RP.SnTJTTTnW RESOLUTION 956 - 11/12/81 Amemds Reso. 892. 8/27/81 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock has heretofore executed an agreement between the City of Lubbock and the Steering Committee of the Lubbock Urban Transportation Study (Metropolitan Planning Organization); and WHEREAS, authorization has been granted to extend the above mentioned agreement through September 30, 1982; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock an Agreement between the City of Lubbock and the Steering Committee of the Lubbock Urban Transportation Study, attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. GOODE RECEIVED OCT 2 81981 CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE For several years the city of Lubbock has performed transportation related planning tasks and has been reimbursed with Section 112 Planning Funds. Reimbursement is provided for by a contract executed annually between the city of Lubbock and the Metropolitan Planning Organization. Each contract has covered a time period from September 1 of the current year through August 31 of the next year. Since this time period does not match the Federal fiscal year, each year continued funding has been a problem during the month of October. We have now been authorized to approve an extension of our present contract through September 30, 1982, and execute future annual contracts with a time period of October 1 through the following September 30. Because of the additional month of work, additional funds have been pro- vided for one of the planning tasks. Please sign and return both copies of the contract to this office for complete execution. RESOLUTION 956 - 11/12/81 Amends Reso. 892, 8/27/81' r. _ ITY -;_CRUARY-TREASURER CONTRACT STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF LUBBOCK This Contract, entered into _this 12th day of November , 1981, by and between the Steering Committee of the Lubbock Urban Transportation Study (Metropolitan Planning Organization), hereinafter referred as the "MPO". and the City of Lubbock, Texas, herinaf ter referred to as the "City". WITNESSETH Whereas, on October 23, 1975, the MPO entered into a contract with the City of Lubbock, Texas; Now therefore, it is hereby agreed that the aforementioned contract of October 23, 1975, shall, subject to the condition hereinafter stated, be - extended to cover the period from September 1, 1981, through September 30, _ 1982. Work. will be performed as set forth in the Unified Work Program- FY 1982 (September 1, 1981 - September 30, 1982). Condition: Exhibit "B", dated October 1981, attached hereto shall replace Exhibit. "B" as attached to the aforementioned contract of October 23, 1975. In testimony whereof, the parties hereto have caused these presents to be executed on the aforementioned date.
