HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 998 - Dedication Deed - Holly Ave Addition - 12/17/1981RESOLUTION 998 - 12/17/81 DWR:cl BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Dedication Deed for the Holly Avenue Addition to the City of Lubbock, attached herewith which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Passed by the City Council this 17th day of December ,1981. Reagan, Ass-istdint City Attorney RESOLUTION 998 - 12/17/81 \4N THE STATE OF TEXAS § DEDICATION DEED COUNTY OF LUBBOCK § This is to certify that CITY OF LUBBOCK (herein called "CITY") of the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, is the sole owner of a tract of land more particularly described as follows, to -wit: BEGINNING at a point which bears S. 89°16' W. a distance of 2968.89 feet and N. 00°44' W. a distance of 485.83 feet from the Southeast corner of Section 4, Block S, Lubbock County, Texas, THENCE N. 00044' W. a distance of 77.17 feet; THENCE N. 45°44' W. a distance of 45.25 feet; THENCE N. 00°44' W. a distance of 111.00 feet; THENCE S. 8916' W. a distance of 96.00 feet; THENCE N. 00044' W. a distance of 121.00 feet; THENCE N. 81°19'59" E. a distance of 36.47 feet; THENCE N. 16°23' E. a distance of 35.00 feet; THENCE S. 73037' E. a distance of 566.99 feet; THENCE S. 16023' W. a distance of 35.00 feet; THENCE S. 00044' E. a distance of.179.33 feet; THENCE S. 89°16' W. a distance of 450.00 feet to the Point of Beginning. CITY does hereby plat the above described property into lots and blocks, as thereon shown in accordance with the attached final plat, prepared by Tommy Anderson, a licensed surveyor for the State of Texas, on the 12th day of October, 1981, and approved by the Planning Commmission of the City of Lubbock on the 1st day of October, 1981, and desiring to have the said property platted and duly filed for record as required by law all as shown on the attached map; NOW THEREFORE, KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That for -and in consideration of the special benefits to the remainder of the CITY'S property, the CITY does hereby DEDICATE all the streets, alleys and other public properties thereon shown and designated upon said map to the PUBLIC for PUBLIC USE FOREVER; and by these presents, does impress the name of Lot 1, Holly Avenue Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, upon said property for the correct reference and description thereto by lots and blocks as indicated upon the attached map, and does hereby adopt the name hereinabove stated and impresses the same upon said land, incorporating said map as a part of this dedication.
