RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION 1069 - 4/8/82
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock finds it necessary and
in the public interest to purchase certain hereinafter described property for
municipal public purposes, to -wit: the widening and improving of Quaker Avenue,
a public street; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby determines that the owners of the fee
simple title to said property should be offered the amount hereinafter set
forth for the purchase thereof by the City, NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the acquisition of the fee simple title to the
following described land is hereby authorized:
A tract of land located in Section 10, Block E-2, Lubbock, County, Texas,
being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 3/8" iron rod found in the East line of said Section 10
which bears S. 00°02146" W. a distance of 30.00 feet from the Southeast
corner of the Northeast Quarter of Section 10, Block E-2, Lubbock County,
Texas;
THENCE S. 00002'46" W., along said Section line at 112.83 feet pass a set
Y" iron rod, continuing for a total distance of 150.43 feet to a 11" rod
set in the Northeast right-of-way line of Quaker Avenue;
THENCE Northwesterly along said right-of-way line and around a curve to
the left, said curve having a radius of 805.00 feet, a central angle of
4°42119", tangent lengths of 33.07 feet, and a chord distance of 66.09
feet to a found 3/8" iron rod;
THENCE N. 26057'14" W., continuing along said right-of-way line, a dis-
tance of 76.95 feet to a point of curvature;
THENCE Northeasterly around a curve to the right, said curve having 15.00
feet, a central angle of 117°00130", tangent lengths of 24.48 feet, and a
chord distance of 25.58 feet;
THENCE S. 89054'44" E. a distance of 49.02 feet to the Point of Beginning.
CONTAINS: 5211.20 square feet
0.120 acre
SECTION 2. THAT The owners of said fee simple title including Castle
Development, Inc. be offered the sum of $5000.00 for the purchase of said
land.
