HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 1085 - Agreement- Freese & Nichols- TWC Hearings, Justiceburg Water Rights Application - 04/22/1982JWF:mck RV-QnT.TTTTnW RESOLUTION 1085 - 4/22/82 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of said City an agreement to be entered into by and between said City and Freese and Nichols as Consulting Engineers with respect to work associated with the Texas Water Commission hearings on the Justiceburg water rights application, which agreement shall be spread upon the minutes of the City Council, and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Re: Justiceburg Water Rights Mr. Sam Wahl has asked that I send you this letter, outlining the basis of charges by Freese and Nichols, Inc., for work associ- ated with the Texas Water Commission hearings on the Justiceburg water rights application. Attached is a schedule showing our current basis of charges for work of that kind. We propose to use this schedule in regard to the remaining Justiceburg water rights efforts. Schedule of Charges Special Services Per Diem Rate for Principals of the Firm: $80:00 per hour Staff Members Salary Cost Times Multiplier of 2.3 Salary Cost is defined as the cost of salaries of engineers, draftsmen, stenographers, surveymen, clerks, laborers, etc., for time directly chargeable to the project, plus social security contributions, unemploy- ment compensation insurance, retirement benefits, medical and insurance benefits, bonuses, sick leave, vacation and holiday pay applicable thereto. (Salary Cost is equal to'l.34 times salary payments for 1981. This factor is adjusted annually.) Other Direct Expense Actual Cost Times Multiplier of 1.15 Other direct expenses shall include printing and reproduction expense, computer expense, connunication expense, travel, transportation and subsistence away from Fort Worth and other miscellaneous expense directly related to the work, including costs of laboratory analysis, tests, and other work required to be done by independent persons or agents other than staff members.
