RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION 1171 - 8/12/82
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock an Agreement
between Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, Inc. and the City of Lubbock consenting
to sub -lease and permitting alterations, repairs and renovations to the
Urban Renewal building, attached herewith which shall be spread upon the
minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall
constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in
detail.
Passed by the City Council this 12th day of pu�,1982.

COUNTY OF LUBBOCK §
This Agreement made and entered into by and between the
LUBBOCK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INC., hereinafter called "Chamber"
and the CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, hereinafter called "City";
W I T N E S S E T H;
For value received, the Chamber hereby agrees to allow the
City to come upon the premises located on the North 65 feet -of
the east half of Blk. 87, Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas, and to make alterations, repairs and renovation to
the building located upon said premises.
Such alterations, repairs and renovation shall be made
entirely at City's expense and shall be made in accordance with
the City's plans, specifications or designs so long as such
alterations do not decrease the value or usefulness of the pro-
perty.
The Chamber further consents to the assignment of its Sub -
Lease Agreement of February 1, 1978, and the Addendum thereto to
the City by the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock. The
City agrees to meet all obligations due under such Sub -Lease
Agreement and Addendum so long as the same shall continue in
force and effect.
Any alterations, repairs or renovations to said building
shall not be considered in any way as altering the price of sale
of such building to the City of Lubbock as set out in the October
23, 1975, Amendment to the August 3, 1948, Lease Agreement between
the City and the Chamber with regard to such premises, nor al-
tering the August 3, 1948 lease contract or the October 23, 1975
Amendment thereto entered into by the City.and Chamber and per-
taining to the above referenced property.
