THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to execute and submit for the City of Lubbock the Community Devel- opment Block Grant Application of 1983 for the year 1983 and related documents, which Application shall be spread upon the minutes of the City Council, and as spread upon said minutes shall constitute a part hereof for all purposes. Federal AionsWestat CireWar ri-r I < FINAL STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES AND PROJECTED USE OF FUNDS FOR THE CITY OF LUBBOCK JUNE 1, 1983 - MAY 31, 1984 The City of Lubbock, through the receipt of $2,706,000 in Community Development Block Grant Funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development proposes to implement its Community Development Program which has been developed so as to give maximum feasible priority to: I. Aid in the prevention or elimination of slums and blight 2. Principally benefit persons of low and moderate incomes In order to implement this program, the Lubbock City Council has approved the following programs: A) Neighborhood Rehabilitation, Revitalization, $1,243,928 and Redevelopment B) Improvements to Community Facilities: 171,000 C) Improvements to Park Facilities 271,667 D) Improvements to Public Facilities 365,000 E) Code Enforcement 269,405 F) Administration 235,000 G) Contingency for Urgent Needs 150,000 $2,706,000 s • CIRANT AMEEhMNT This Grant Agreement is trade by and. between the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and - citz of Lubbock Texas (the Grantee) Pursuant to the authority of e o e Housing an ommun ty eve opment Act of 1974 public Law 93-883), as amended. The Grantee's submissions for Title I assistance and the HUD regulations at 84 CFA Part 670 (as now in effect end as may be amended from time to time), which are incorporated by reference, together with the certifications of the Grantee and the HUD funding Form 7082, which are hereto Attached, constitute part of the Agreement. In reliance upon and in consideration of the mutual representations and obligations hereunder, HUD and the Grantee agree as follows: Subject to the provisions of this Gant Agreement, HUD will make the funding assistance for Fiscal Year 19 83 specified in the attached HUD funding Form 7082 available to the Grantee upon execu ion of the Agreement by the parties. The obligation and utilization of the funding assistance provided Is subject to the requirements of the regulations and any special conditions set forth in the HUD funding Form 7082. The Grantee further agrees to accept responsibility for adherence to the Agreement by subrecipient entities or designated public agencies to which it makes such funding assistance available..
