RESOLUTION 1317 - 2/10/83
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS; the Texas Tech University School of Medicine, acting by and
through its Health Sciences Center, has provided a staff physician available
to serve as Public Health Director and City Health Officer for the City of
Lubbock; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock finds said physician to
qualified to serve in such capacity; and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby elects such physician to said office by
majority vote of the governing body in accordance with the provisions of
:rnon's Ann.Civ.St., art. 4425; NOW THEREFORE:
IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT Robert H. Kokernot, D.V.M., M.D., Ph.D., is hereby elected and
appointed Public Health Director and City Health Officer for the City of
Lubbock, Texas, effective February 15, 1983.
Passed by a majority vote of the City Council this day of February, 1983.
