RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF ALLEYS, STREETS AND/OR
AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE
OF ASSESSMENTS LEVIED.
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvements,
ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Kerr Construction Co.,
(G.W.O. 11,593) for the making and construction of street and/or alley improve-
ments on portions of numerous alleys, streets and/or avenues in said City in-
cluding among others the following:
Akron Avenue from its intersection with a line 15' south of the
south property line of 78th Street to its intersection with a line
15' north of the north property line of 79th Street known and desi-
gnated as Sub -Unit Number 23 of Unit Number 2240.
Avenue "S" from its intersection with the south property line of Loop
289 to its intersection with a line 3' north of the north property
line of the alley north of 73rd Street known and designated as Sub -
Unit Number 25 of Unit Number 2240.
South 1/2 of 74th Street from its intersection with a line 8' east
of the east property line of University Avenue to its intersection
with a line 7' west of the -west property line of the alley,- west of
Avenue "X" known and designated as Sub -Unit number 27 of Unit Num-
ber 2240.
77th Street from its intersection with a line 5' west of the east
property line of U.S. 87 (Tahoka Highway) to its intersection with
a line 13' east of the east property line of Avenue "F" known and
designated as Sub -Unit Number 28 of Unit Number 2240.
76th Street from its intersection with a line 13' east of the east
property line of Avenue "B" to its intersection with a line 13' east
of the east property line of Avenue -"D" known and designated as
Sub -Unit Number 29 of Unit Number 2240.
76th Street from its intersection with a line 13' east of the east
property line of Avenue 'SD" to its intersection with the east raw
edge of U.S. Highway 87,known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 30
of Unit Number 2240.
77th Street from its intersection with a line 13' east of the east
property line of Avenue "D" to its intersection with a line 13' east
of the east property line of Avenue "F" known and designated as Sub -
Unit Number 31 of Unit Number 2240.
Avenue " F" from its intersection with a line 18' south of the south
property line of 76th Street to its intersection with a line 18'
north of the north property line of 77th Street known and designated
as Sub -Unit Number 32 of Unit Number 2240.

East 1/2 of Elgin Avenue from its intersection with a line 15' south of
the south property line of 79th Street to its intersection with a line
22.58' north of the north property line of 82nd Street known and desi-
gnated as Sub -Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 2241.
Avenue "B" from its intersection with a line 16' south of the south
property line of 74th Street to its intersection with a line 13' north
of the north property line of 76th Street known and designated as Sub -
Unit Number 2 of Unit Number 2241.
West 1/2 of Memphis Avenue from its intersection with a line 595' north
of the north property line of 82nd Street to its intersection with a
line 28' north of the north property line of 82nd Street known and desi-
gnated as Sub -Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 2242.
74th Street from its intersection with a line 13.50' east of the east
property line of Ash Avenue to its intersection with a line 9.00' east
of the west property line of Avenue "B" known and designated as Sub -
Unit Number 2 of Unit Number 2242.
Ash Avenue from its intersection with the south lip line of Loop 289
Access Rd. to its intersection with the north lip line of east 74th
Street known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 2243.
East 1/2 of University Avenue from its intersection with a line 22.78'
north of the south property line of 62nd Street to its intersection
with a line 656.22' south of the south property line of 62nd Street
known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 1 of Unit Number 2244.
Parking Lot paving at New Municipal Garage known and designated as
Sub -Unit Number 46 of Unit Number 2240.
AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementioned
alleys, streets and/or avenues, have -been ::inspected,, and found to have been con-
structed in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 11,593).
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
I.
That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned alleys, streets
and/or avenues be and the same aretereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and
he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost
in the amount of $22,315.89.
II.
That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to
execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against
the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the alleys, streets
and/or avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accor-
dance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceed-
ings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments
were levied.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 13th DAY OF OCTOBER 1983.
