HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 1665 - Right Of Way Offer - Kilpatricks - N Quaker Ave Widening - Sec 14 Block A - 04/26/1984HW:da RESOLUTION 1665 - 4/26/84 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock finds that the land hereinafter described is needed for public purposes, to -wit: for the widening of North Quaker Avenue; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Right -of -Way Department of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to make an offer on behalf of the City of Lubbock in the amount of $1,731 to Theodore R. Kilpatrick and Lester L. Kilpatrick, (as owners) for the purchase by the City of a tract of land to be used as set forth in the preamble hereof and described as follows: A parcel of land located in Section 14, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas, being a portion of the tract conveyed to Theodore R. Kilpatrick and Lester L. Kilpatrick in Volume 1809, Page 381 of the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a set 60 penny nail which bears N. 00°03110" W. a distance of 494.8 feet from the Southeast corner of Section 14, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas, said point being the Northeast corner of said Kilpatrick tract for the Northeast corner of this tract; THENCE S. 00003110" E., along the East line of Section 14 and along the East line of said Kilpatrick tract, a distance of 145.2 feet to a 60 penny nail set in the East line of said Section 14 for the South- east corner of said Kilpatrick tract and for the Southeast corner of this tract; THENCE West, along the South line of said Kilpatrick tract, a distance of 54.43 feet to a 1/2" iron rod set for the Southwest corner of this tract; THENCE N. 02043158" E. a distance of 70.57 feet to a 1/2" iron rod set; THENCE N. 00003110" W. a distance of 74.71 feet to a 1/2" iron rod set in the North line of said Kilpatrick tract, for the Northwest corner of this tract; THENCE East, along the North line of said Kilpatrick tract, a distance of 51.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT said purchase is to be accomplished by the Right - of -Way Department.
