HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2015-O0119 - Budget Amendment 6 - 12/03/2015Reading ober 19, 2015 No. 6.4 ORDINANCE NO. 2015-00119 Second Reading December 3, 2015 Item No. 5.1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2015-16 BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES RESPECTING THE GRANT FUND TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE FUNDING FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF AGING AND DISABILITY SERVICES (TDADS) PASS-THROUGH FEDERAL FUNDS FROM THE SOUTH PLAINS ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS (SPAG) FOR THE AREA AGENCY ON AGING (AAA) — DIRECT PURCHASE OF SERVICES GRANT; ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE FUNDING FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES (DSHS) FOR THE COMMUNITY PREVENTION SYSTEM (CPS) ONE-TIME DISCRETIONARY PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS (PREP) GRANT; ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE FUNDING FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE (DOJ) FOR THE EDWARD BYRNE JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG); PROVIDING FOR FILING; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council shall approve all transfers between funds and departments; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2015-16 Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2015-16 (Budget Amendment #6) for municipal purposes, as follows: I. Accept and appropriate $144,785 from TDADS pass-through federal funding from SPAG for the AAA Direct Purchase of Services Grant and appropriate $38,599 of program revenue, for a total program budget of $193,831. 11. Accept and appropriate $40,698 from Texas DSHS for the CPS One -Time Discretionary PHEP Grant. III. Accept and appropriate $139,342 from the DOJ for the Edward Byrne JAG. SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Lubbock as required by law. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
