HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2015-O0053 - Budget Amendment 23 - 06/11/2015First Reading May 28, 2015 Item No. 6.6 ORDINANCE NO. 2015-00053 Second Reading June 11, 2015 Item No. 6.2 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2014-15 BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES RESPECTING THE NORTH AND EAST LUBBOCK NEIGHBORHOOD AND INFRASTRUCTURE FUND TO APPROPRIATE ADDITIONAL REVENUE FROM OIL AND GAS ROYALTIES AND CHANGE THE APPROPRIATION FOR DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT; RESPECTING THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT (CBD) TAX INCREMENT FINANCING REINVESTMENT ZONE (TIF) FUND TO INCREASE THE TRANSFER FROM THE NORTH AND EAST LUBBOCK NEIGHBORHOOD AND INFRASTRUCTURE FUND AND INCREASE THE APPROPRIATION FOR SPECIAL PROJECTS; PROVIDING FOR FILING; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council shall approve all transfers between funds and departments; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2014-15 Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2014-15 (Budget Amendment #23) for municipal purposes, as follows: I. Amend the North and East Lubbock Neighborhood and Infrastructure Fund by increasing the appropriation for Oil and Gas Royalties revenue by $255,266, from $469,264 to $724,530. II. Amend the North and East Lubbock Neighborhood and Infrastructure Fund by changing the appropriation for Downtown Redevelopment to a Transfer to the CBD TIF Fund and increasing the appropriation by $63,816, from $117,316 to $181,132. III. Amend the CBD TIF Fund by increasing the Transfer from the North and East Lubbock Neighborhood and Infrastructure Fund by $181,132, and increasing the appropriation for Special Projects by $181,132, from $10,000 to $191,132. SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Lubbock as required by law. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
