HW: js RESOLUTION Resolution #2362 June 26, 1986 Agenda Item #38 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Contract with Texas Roofing Company for roofing requirements for the Street and Vehicle Building, Waste Utilities Maintenance Building, Wastewater Vehicle Building, Police Academy Building and Fire Station #11 in 1986, attached herewith, which shall be spread upon the min- utes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as fully copied herein in detail. McMinn, Mayor, thereunto authorized to do so, hereinafter referred to as OWNER, and Texas Roofing Company P.O. Box 2156 Lubbock, Texas 79408 Iof the City of Lubbock, County of Lubbock, and the State of Texas, hereinafter termed CONTRACTOR. WITNESSETH: That for and in consideration of the payments and agree- ments hereinafter mentioned, to be made and performed by the OWNER and under the conditions expressed in the bond bearing even date herewith (if any) the CONTRACTOR hereby agrees with OWNER to commence and com- plete the construction of certain improvements described as follows: To provide labor and material for roofing projects at various locations in Lubbock, Texas in accordance with the plans and specifications. The City of Lubbock would prefer the work to be done in the following order: Building Address Alternate Amount Police Academy 615 Municipal Dr. Yes $19,532.00 Fire Station #11 Airport No 2,699.00 Waste Water Vehicles 600 Municipal Dr. No 2,234.00 Water Utilities 600 Municipal Dr. No 3,203.00 Streets Vehicles 600 Municipal Dr. No 1,876.00 $29,544.00 and all extra work in connection therewith, under the terms as stated in the contract documents and at his (or their) own proper cost and expense to furnish all materials, supplies, machinery, equipment, tools, super- intendence, labor, insurance and other accessories and services neces- sary to complete the said constriction in accordance with the contract documents as defined in the General Condition of Agreement. The CONTRACTOR hereby agrees to commence work within ten days after the date written notice to do so shall have been given to him and to substantially complete same within the time specified in the contract documents. The OWNER agrees to pay the CONTRACTOR in current funds for the performance of the contract in accordance with the proposal submitted therefore, subject to additions and deductions, as provided in the con- tract documents in the sum of $29,544.00.
