HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2335 - CO#1 To Contract - Williams & Peters Inc - Paving Improvements, 82Nd St - 06/12/1986Resolution #2335 June 12, 1986 Agenda Item #12 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Change Order No. 1 adding paving quantities to G.W.O. 9063 (82nd Street from University Ave. to Ave. "U") to existing contract for paving improvements between said City and Williams & Peters Construction Co. Inc., attached herewith, which shall be spread upon the minutes of the:., Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. P.O. Box 5215 Lubbock, Texas 79417 Gentlemen: WHEREAS, it is desirable to make changes in the plans and specifications for this project, being namely the addition of the following: Indiana Ave. Reconstruction from 34th Street to 35th Street. WHEREAS, the Contractor herein agrees to the following change: Original Contract Amount = $ 551,069.00 Increased By Change Order No. 1 = $ 49,398.31 Total Amount of Contract = $ 600,467.31 No additional time is allowed with this Change Order. THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH: In consideration of the mutual advantages gained, the Owner and the Contractor agree to the change shown herein and in the revised plans, the Owner agrees to pay the Contractor the amount of increase in cash. The Contractor agrees to proceed with construction and to adhere to applicable specifications, under the direction of the Engineer. Furthermore, the parties agree that the original contract between the Owner and the Contractor shall be modified to the extent herein indicated, including one (1) attachment.
