MH:js RESOLUTION Resolution #2306 May 8, 1986 Agenda Item #16 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Change Order No. 2 AIP Project Numbers 3-48-0138-04 & 05 between the City of Lubbock and Kerr Construction Company, attached herewith, which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as fully copied herein in detail. Box 888 Lubbock, Texas 79408 Resolution #2306 CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 Lubbock International Airport City of Lubbock, Texas Southwest General Aviation Area Expansion AIP Project Nos. 3-48-0138-04 & 05 July, 1985 General description of work included in contract: The construction or strengthening of approximately 42,500 square yards of flexible pavement on taxiways and construction of approximately 30,700 square yards of flexible pavement on roadway, reconstruction of existing apron pavement, removal of existing pavement, construction of approximately 17,600 linear feet of curb and gutter, construction of drainage structures, excavation work, installation of taxiway edge lighting, installation of water and sewer lines, marking of taxiways and roads, installation of security fencing, and other related items of work. (Add) 35,997.00 Adjusted Contract Price $ 3,079,626.66 Original Construction Time . . . . . . . . . . . 275 Calendar Days Change Order No. 1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0 Calendar Days Change Order No. 2 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 31 Calendar Days Adjusted Construction Time 306 Calendar Days WHEREAS, it is desirable to make certain changes in the work included under this project: AND WHEREAS, during the construction time provided by the contract for the project, work was delayed due to weather conditions, such as snow, rain and subfreezing temperatures, during critical periods of construction, the Owner and Contractor agree that the time allowed for the completion of the project shall be extended 31 calendar days, from 275 calendar days to 306 calendar days. CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 Page 1 of 3 AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to rehabilitate an existing water line under Runway 17R -35L and Taxiway C, the PROPOSAL shall be modified by the addition of the following items: 90. 1 Grouting of Voids and Abandoned Water L.S. Line under Taxiway C, complete, for the lump sum price of: Two Thousand Three Hundred Forty Dollars and No Cents ($ 2,340.00 ) $ 2,340.00 91. 1 Grouting of Abandoned Water Line under L.S. Runway 17R -35L, complete, for the lump sum price of: One Thousand Seventy -Nine Dollars and No Cents ($ 1,079.00 ) $ 1,079.00 92. 358 18 -inch Steel Pipe for Water Line Casing, L.F. installed, complete, per linear foot: Ninety -One _ Dollars and No Cents ($ 91.00 ) $ 32,578.00 The addition of Items 90 through 92 shall result in a net addition of $35,997.00 to the contract price. Items 90 through 92 are ineligible for FAA funding. THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH: In consideration of the mutual advantage gained, the Owner and the Contractor agree to the changes indicated above and further agree that the contract shall be adjusted as shown above. Items of work shall be as shown on the attached drawings. The aforementioned changes, and work affected thereby, are subject to all contract stipulations and covenants.
