Dear Dr. Cavazos:
September 24, 1986
Enclosed are two copies of the proposed Lease Agreement
between Texas Tech University and the City of Lubbock provid-
ing for the lease of property known as the Lubbock Lake Site
to Texas Tech University. The Lubbock City Council approved
this Lease Agreement by Resolution 2425.
This Lease Agreement is the one that has been reviewed by
your General Counsel, Pat Campbell as well as other members
of the Texas Tech Administration, and it is our understanding
that they have concurred with this. This is also the same
Lease Agreement that was given to Senator Montford on the
date that several of us met with Senator Montford and Mr.
Travis of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.-
We
epartment:We would appreciate your executing this Lease Agreement and
returning one of the copies with original signatures to the
City of Lubbock for our permanent files. After the Texas
Tech Board of Regents has executed this, please return to my
office and we will have this filed permanently in the City
Secretary's Office.
Thank you for your cooperation, and please advise if there
are any questions regarding this.
