BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized
and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit
Claim Deed in favor of the Texas Department of Highways and Public
Transportation, attached herewith, which shall be spread upon the minutes
of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall
constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in
detail.
Passed by the City Council this 28th day of August r 1986.

Commission, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and for which no lien is
retained, either expressed or implied, have quitclaimed, and do by these presents
Bargain, Sell, Release and forever Quitclaim unto the State of Texas all of Grantors'
right, title, interest, claim and demand in and to that certain tract or parcel of
land, situated in the County of Lubbock , State of Texas, and being more
particularly described as follows, to wit:

Being 26,814.63 square feet, more or less, of land out of that certain
tract of land situated in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,
being out of Lots 1 through 5, both inclusive, in Block 7 Country Club
Addition, according to a map or plat of said Addition recorded in Volume
155, Page 248, of the Deed Records of Lubbock County; said tract being
the same property described in a Deed from John W. Cook and wife, Effie
Alice Cook to John Sparling and wife, Thelma Juanita Sparling dated
March 30, 1966, recorded in Volume 1081, Page 62 of the Deed Records of
Lubbock County, Texas; said 26,814.63 square feet, more or less, being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the south right-of-way line of Jarvis Street,
said point being the northwest corner of said tract and 150.00 feet
North 87039'01" West of the northeast corner of said tract;
(1) THENCE, South 87039'01" East along the north line of said tract a distance
of 89.87 feet to a point in the proposed east right-of-way line of IH 27;
(2) THENCE, South 2052'12" East along the proposed east right-of-way line
of IH 27 a distance of 264.10 feet to a point in the south line of said
tract;
(3) THENCE, North 87038'59" West along the south line of said tract a distance
of 114.05 feet to southwest corner of said tract.
(4) THENCE, North 2022'59" East along the west line of said tract a distance
of 263.00 feet to the point of beginning.

out of Section 15, Block A, conveyed to C. L. Adams by J. D. Slaughter
and wife, Sammie Slaughter by Deed dated March 6, 1944 and recorded in
Volume 275, Page 186 of the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, and by
Deed dated March 17, 1945 and recorded in Volume 302, Page 128 of the
Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas; where estate of C. L. Adams, deceased;
to Ann L. Adams and Larry C. Adams by Probate Number 8735, filed May 26, 1965,
where estate of Ann L. Adams, deceased; to Larry C. Adams as his sole and
separate estate by Probate Number 21,883 and Deed dated February 14, 1982,
and recorded in Volume 1775, Page 337 of the Deed Records of Lubbock
County, Texas, said 216,206.58 square feet, more or less, being more par—
ticularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the existing west right-of-way of Amarillo Highway
(U.S. 87) and the northeast corner of said tract, said point being
North 81°3922" West a distance of 2909.35 feet and North 2020'38" East a
distance of 2920.40 feet from the southeast corner of Section 15;
(1) THENCE, South 41°21'06" West along the east line of said
tract a distance of 261.33 feet to a point in the east line
of said tract;
(2) THENCE, South 31003'09" West along the east line of said
tract a distance of 305.82 feet to a point in the east line
