HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2655 - Appointments - Municipal Court Of Record - Temprary & Substitute Judges - 10/06/1987KJ: da RESOLUTION Resolution #2655 October 6, 1987 Agenda Item #26 WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock has created a Municipal Court of Record in accordance with provisions of Vernon's Ann.Civ.St., V.C.T.A. Government Code, Sec. 30.001 et seq.; and WHEREAS, said statute places the duty to appoint temporary and substitute municipal judges upon the City Council of the City of Lubbock; and WHEREAS, it is advisable that temporary and substitute municipal judges should be available upon short notice if required in order that the business of the Municipal Courts of Record shall not be impeded by a temporary need for an additional judge or judges; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the following named persons, each of whom meets the requirements to serve as Municipal Court of Record judges, are hereby appointed temporary and substitute judges of the Lubbock Municipal Courts of Records: Michelle Hart David Hazlewood Sam Ogan Laura Monroe Hollis Browning.' George Thompson Wanda Wray Said person shall serve part-time as required upon the request of the presiding judge of the Lubbock Municipal Courts of Records.
