RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby
authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock
the cover (Title) sheet to the Plans of Proposed Highway Improvement for
U.S. Highway 84 from South of Spur 331 to Southeast of FM 400.
SECTION 2. THAT said execution by the Mayor on behalf of the City of
Lubbock was requested in a letter dated May 13, 1988, addressed to Larry
Cunningham, City Manager, from Edward P. Hensley, District Design Engineer
for the Lubbock office of the Texas State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation on behalf of William M. Pope its District Engineer.
Passed by the City Council this 26th day of May 1988.

Attached you will find the plans of proposed State Highway Improvement for
U.S. Highway 84. The project will consist of overlaying the existing main
lanes and placing a seal coat on the existing frontage roads. Some of the
existing culverts will receive safety end treatments (sloping concrete
headwalls) to comply with S. D. H. P. T. Safety Standards.
This project is scheduled to let for contract in August, 1988. Your
concurrence is requested with the signature of mayor B.C. McMinn on the
original title sheet.
