BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the MAYOR of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and
directed to' execute for an on behalf of the City of Lubbock an Ammendment.to
a Financial' :Assistance Contract with the State of Texas extending such Con-
tract from..August 31, 1987 to August 31, 1989 on Project No. TX -90-0069 and
State Contract No. 507XXF6005, attached herewith, which shall be spread upon
the minutes'of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this council
shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as is fully copied herein
in detail.
Passed by the City Council this 25th day of August , 1988.

SECOND CONTRACT AMENDMENT
This Amendment Ls made between the State Of Texas, acting through the
State Department Of Highways and Public Transportation, 11th and
Brazos, Austin, Texas 78701 hereinafter called the State, and the City
Of Lubbock, P. O. BOX 2000, Lubbock, Texas 79457, hereinafter called
the Recipient.
The State and the Recipient entered into a Public Transportation
Contract on March 19, 1987 and amended August 31, 1987 wherein the
State agreed to provide financial assistance to the Recipient in the
amount of" Twelve Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-three Dollars
($12,383.00) for the purchase, construction and/or installation of (1)
one supervisory automobile, (2) one maintenance truck, (3) one spare
bus engine' and transmission, (4) support and maintenance equipment
(pressure Masher, radar gun, tools, equipment, and bus route signs),
(5') administrative cost, and (6) contingency.
Article 2, Contract Period, established that the project would be
completed on or before or August 31, 1988.
It is the desire of the State and the Recipient to continue the State's
financial obligation through to August 31, 1989.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, Article 2, Contract
Period of the Contract, is amended as follows:
Article 2. Contract Period
This contract amendment will become effective when fully
executed by both parties, and as hereby amended, the contract
will be completed on or before August 31, 1989 unless
modifiied as provided in the contract. Work performed or
expensies incurred prior to the execution date of the contract
will not be eligible for reimbursement.
All other terms of the Contract remain unchanged and in full force and
effect.
