HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 3676 - Conveyance - Airport To Water Utilities Department - 2 Tracts Of Land - 08/08/1991HW:js RESOLUTION Resolution No. 3676 August 8, 1991 Item #26 WHEREAS, the Airport Board for the City of Lubbock, Texas, has voted to recommend to the City Council of the City of Lubbock that certain Airport premises hereinafter described be conveyed to the Water Utilities Department of the City for good and valuable consideration; and WHEREAS the City Council herein finds that conveyance of such Airport premises hereinafter described is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock and that there is no legal impediment to conveying such property to the Water Utilities Department as recommended; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Airport premises described in Exhibit A, attached to this Resolution and made a part hereof for all purposes, shall be conveyed by the Airport to the Water Utilities Department for the sum of $1,500 per acre, which is the appraised value of such property according to the Right - of -Way Department of the City of Lubbock. SECTION 2. THAT the Right -of -Way Department of the City shall effect the conveyance of the property described in Exhibit A to the Water Utilities Department in accordance with this Resolution.
