RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock an Acknowledg-
ment of Satisfaction and Release of Judgment in the case of Anadarko Devel-
opment Company and Taylor Petroleum, Inc. v. The City of Lubbock, attached
herewith, which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as
spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of
this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF SATISFACTION AND RELEASE OF JUDGMENT
On January 10, 1991, the Court entered Judgment in this matter
in favor of the City of Lubbock and against ANADARKO DEVELOPMENT
COMPANY and TAYLOR PETROLEUM, INC.
CITY OF LUBBOCK hereby acknowledges payment and satisfaction
of such Judgment, and releases any liens or other right in favor of
CITY OF LUBBOCK as a result of such Judgment and declares all such
liens and rights as a result of such Judgment to be null and void.
Any such rights in favor of CITY OF LUBBOCK as a result of the
Judgment of the Court of January 10, 1991, which survive this
acknowledgment of satisfaction of judgment, are transferred and
assigned to ANADARKO DEVELOPMENT COMPANY and TAYLOR PETROLEUM,
INC., jointly.

Anadarko Development Company and Taylor Petroleum,
Inc. v. City of Lubbock, Dennis McGill, Tracy Bau-
gh, Joy Ridlehuber, Ed Stephens, Bill Adling, Ben
Ybanez and Harold Long
Per our telephone conversation, I have drawn a proposed
Satisfaction of Judgment document to present to the City Council
for approval of execution on behalf of the City in this case.
I have asked the plaintiff's attorney to have a check drawn in
favor of the City in the settlement amount of $43,250.00. He will
hold the check and we will hold any executed documents until
everything is ready to be exchanged.
The Satisfaction of Judgment document will not be filed and
effective, of course, until we actually receive the settlement
money.
