RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE
GENERAL CITY ELECTION HELD NOVEMBER 3, 2020.
WHEREAS, on November 3, 2020, a general election was held in the City of Lubbock,
Texas at which the qualified voters of the City had the opportunity to vote for the purpose of
electing a Mayor, City Council Members for Districts 2, 4, and 6, and Municipal Court Judge, as
provided by law; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT REMEMBERED THAT, on the 12th day of November, 2020, the City Council of
the City of Lubbock met at 8:00 o'clock a. m. at the regular meeting place of the City Council
in the City of Lubbock Municipal Building with the following members present,
Mayor Daniel M. Pope
Mayor Pro Tern Jeff Griffith
Council Member Juan A. Chadis
Council Member Shelia Patterson Harris
Council Member Steve Massengale
Council Member Randy Christian
Council Member Latrelle Joy
On Motion of Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Griffith , seconded by Council
Member Juan A. Chadis , it is unanimously carried that the returns of the General City Election held
November 3, 2020, for the election of a Mayor, City Council Members for Districts 2, 4, and 6,
and Municipal Court Judge, as provided by law, be opened and canvassed, and the results of the
election be declared therefrom; and said returns having been duly canvassed, it is found that the
votes for the various candidates are as follows:
