HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 4071 - Approves Tariff - LP&L - DFAS Project - 01/28/1993Resolution No. 4071 January 28, 1993 Item No. 25 RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK APPROVING A TARIFF FILED BY LUBBOCK POWER AND LIGHT ON JANUARY 20, 1993, AND EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 1993, IN CONNECTION WITH THE DFAS PROJECT. WHEREAS, Lubbock Power and Light has filed an application for a change in tariffs with regard to the proposed DFAS project to be effective on the 1st day of February, 1993; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds such tariff to be reasonable and in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock upon consideration of all matters involved; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the new Federal Power Service tariff (No. 5.0) submitted by Lubbock Power and Light and attached hereto is hereby approved and may be implemented effective February 1, 1993; and THAT said new tariff shall be filed City of Lubbock in accordance with Section the City of Lubbock, Texas. BOX 2000 • LUBBOCK, TEXAS 79457 • (806) 763-9381 FEDERAL POWER SERVICE TARIFF NUMBER 5.0 APPLICABLE: To federal general lighting and power service for facilities in excess of $500,000 per year total power cost within a contiguous area. RATE: All KWH used per month @ 3.7¢ per KWH. FUEL COST ADJUSTMENT: The charge per kilowatt hour of the above rate shall be adjusted by a fuel cost factor per kilowatt hour calculated in accordance with Southwestern Public Service current Tariff 7100. TAX ADJUSTMENT: (Applicable to sales inside corporate limits): Billings under this schedule may be increased by an amount equal to the sum of the taxes payable under federal, state and local sales tax acts, and of all additional taxed, fees or charges (exclusive of ad valorem, state and federal income taxes) payable by the utility and levied or assessed by any governmental authority on the public utility services rendered, or on the right or privilege of rendering the service, or on any object or event incidental to the rendition of service, as the result of any new or amended laws after February 1, 1993. OTHER: The Lubbock Power and Light and Southwestern Public Service Company rate is the same for this class of service. EFFECTIVE DATE: February 1, 1993.
