HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 4385 - Administration Reorganization - City Manager - Depatment Consolidation, Etc. - 02/10/1994Resolution No. 4385 February 10, 1994 Item #24 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Chapter 1, Article IX, Section 22, of the Charter of the City of Lubbock, Texas, places in the City Council the authority to create and consolidate the appointive offices of the City and divide the administration of City affairs into such departments as it may deem advisable, including discontinuance of any such appointive officers or departments at its discretion; and WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Lubbock has heretofore at the direction of the City Council completed a reorganization of the administration of the City, including the division or consolidation of various departments and reassignment and discontinuance of various departments and officers; and WHEREAS, said plan of reorganization of the administration of the City has been presented to the City Council for review; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock believes that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock to approve and affirm said plan for reorganization of the administration of the City of Lubbock; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the City Manager's plan for reorganization of the administration of the City of Lubbock, including the division and consolidation of various departments and appointive positions is hereby approved and affirmed pursuant to the authority granted to the City Council under Chapter 1, Article IX, Section 12,af4he Charter of the City of Lubbock, Texas.
