RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to
execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quitclaim Deed in favor of Ludy Massie
Family Trust, attached hereto and which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and
as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if
fully copied herein in detail.
Passed by the City Council this 12th day of December , 1996.

QUITCLAIM DEED
THE STATE OF TEXAS §
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK §
THAT the CITY OF LUBBOM a Home Rule Municipality in the County of Lubbock,
State of Texas, hereinafter called "GRANTOR," for and in consideration of the sum of TEN
AND N0/100 DOLLARS ($10.00) and other good and valuable consideration to GRANTOR in
hand paid by LUDY MASSIF FAMILY TRUST, hereinafter called "GRANTEE," the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby by these presents ABANDON, DISCLAIM,
RELEASE and FOREVER QUITCLAIM unto the said GRANTEE,all of GRANTOR'S rights,
title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the County
of Lubbock, State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit:
The East 15 feet of Lot 2 and that portion of Lot 1, Block 12, Myrtle Slaton Addition
Number 2, an addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, lying West of
the proposed West right of way line of Indiana Avenue and further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod set at the Northwest corner of said East 15 feet for the
Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N. 89059'10" E., along the North line of said Lots 1 and 2, a distance of 21.74
feet to a 1/2" iron rod set in said right of way line for the Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S. 0000'17" E., along said right of way line, a distance of 132.50 feet to a
cross on concrete set in the South line of said Lots 1 and 2 for the Southeast corner of
this tract;
THENCE S. 89059'10" W., along said South line, a distance of 21.75 feet to a 1/2" iron
rod set at the Southwest corner of said East 15 feet for the Southwest corner of this
tract;
THENCE N. 0000'00" E., along the West line of said East 15 feet, a distance of 132.50
feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and singular the rights,
privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said GRANTEE, its
successors and assigns forever, so that neither the GRANTOR, its successors or assigns, nor any
persons claiming under GRANTOR shall at any time hereafter have, claim or demand any right to
the title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances or any part thereof.
