ORDINANCE NO.2016-00150
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2016-17 BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
RESPECTING THE GRANT FUND TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE FUNDING FROM
THE OFFICE OF GOVERNOR -CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION FOR THE NATIONAL
INCIDENT BASED REPORTING SYSTEM GRANT;ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE
FUNDING FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR THE JUSTICE
ASSISTANCE GRANT;ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM
THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS (TDHCA)FOR
THE COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT (CSBG);AND ACCEPT AND
APPROPRIATE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM THE FEDERAL TRANSIT
ADMINISTRATION (FTA)FOR THE SECTION 5307 GRANT;PROVIDING FOR FILING;
AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE.
WHEREAS,Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas
authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS,in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council shall
approve alltransfers between funds and departments; and
WHEREAS,the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2016-17 Budget for
municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows;NOW,THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1.THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves changes
to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2016-17 (Budget Amendment #1) formunicipal purposes,as
follows:
I.Accept and appropriate$27,930 from the Office of Governor - Criminal Justice Division
forthe National Incident Based Reporting System Grant.
II. Accept and appropriate $157,249 from the United States Department of Justice forthe
Justice Assistance Grant.
III.Accept and appropriate an additional $196,031 from the Texas Department of Housing
and Community Affairs for the Community Services Block Grant, for a total grant
appropriation of $3 91,964.
IV.Accept and appropriatean additional $22,029 from the FTA for the FY 2014-15 Section
5307 Grant, for a total grantappropriation of $3,155,470;and appropriatean additional
$21,863 in local match,for a total match of $1,046,773.
SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget
pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Lubbock
as required by law.
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of
this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this
Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
