March 14,•1996 RESOLUTION Item ii 50 WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Lubbock provides at Chapter 1, Article IX, Section 13, that the City Council shall meet at least twice each month as prescribed by ordinance or resolution; and I WHEREAS, regular meetings of the City Council are established by City Council Rules, � Order of Business and Procedures Section III, A, 1, pursuant to Resolution No. 1610, as being on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month; and WHEREAS, certain months during the calendar year 1996 will require the regular meetings of the City Council to be conducted on different days than those specified in the City Council Rules, Order of Business and Procedures; and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that it would be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock to provide for regular meetings in the following named instances on days other than those normally used for regular City Council meetings; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the following named regular City Council meetings shall be conducted on the dates indicated below because of conflicts with holidays and other business.
