RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to
execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quitclaim Deed in favor of Escondido Oil,
Inc., a Texas Corporation, attached herewith, which shall be spread upon the minutes of the
Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this
Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail.

QUITCLAIM DEED
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCY, a Home Rule Municipality in the County of Lubbock,
State of Texas, hereinafter called "GRANTOR," for and in consideration of the sum of TEN
AND NO/i 00 DOLLARS ($10.00) and other good and valuable consideration to GRANTOR in
hand paid by ESCONDIDO OIL INC., a Texas Corporation, hereinafter called "GRANTEE,"
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby by these presents ABANDON,
DISCLAIM, RELEASE and FOREVER QUITCLAIM unto the said GRANTEE, all of
GRANTOR'S rights, title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
situated in the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit:
METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION of a portion of Orlando Avenue
and 78th Street to be closed, located in Section 11, Block E-2, Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas, and being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a set 'h" iron rod with cap which bears N. 89°59'40" E., a
distance of 1274.96 feet and N. 00°02'46" E., a distance of 1124.12 feet from
the Southwest corner of Section 11, Block E-2, Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texas;
THENCE S. 00000'20" E., a distance of 30.00 feet to a %" iron rod with cap
set for the Southeast comer of this tract;
THENCE S. 89059'40" W., a distance of 41.78 feet to a '/z" iron rod with cap
set for a comer of this tract;
THENCE S. 40001'10" W., along the Southeasterly right-of-way line of
Orlando Avenue, a distance of 51.93 feet to a ''/z" iron rod with cap set for the
most Southerly comer of this tract;
THENCE N. 49058'50" W., a distance of 75.00 feet to a'/2" iron rod with cap
set for a point of curvature;
THENCE Northwesterly around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius
of 220.00 feet, a central angle of 09'45'11", tangent lengths of 18.77 feet, and
a chord distance of 37.40 feet to '/2" iron rod with cap found at the most
Westerly corner of this tract;
THENCE N. 89059'40" E., a distance of 163.19 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and singular the rights,
privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said GRANTEE, its
successors and assigns forever, so that neither the GRANTOR, its successors or assigns, nor any
persons claiming under GRANTOR shall at any time hereafter have, claim or demand any right
to the title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances or any part thereof.
