HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2016-O0099 - Budget Amendment 34 - 07/14/2016FirstReading SecondReading June 23. 2016 July 14,2016 Item No.5.3 Item No.6.2 ORDINANCE NO.2016-00099 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2015-16 BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES RESPECTING THE NORTH AND EAST LUBBOCK NEIGHBORHOOD AND INFRASTRUCTURE FUND TO APPROPRIATE ADDITIONAL REVENUE FROM OIL AND GAS ROYALTIES AND INCREASE THE APPROPRIATION TO THE NORTH AND EAST LUBBOCK CDC;AND RESPECTING THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT TIF FUND TO INCREASE THE TRANSFER FROM THE NORTH AND EAST LUBBOCK NEIGIIBORHOOD AND INFRASTRUCTURE FUND;PROVIDING FOR FILING;AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. WHEREAS,Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal purposes;and WHEREAS,in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council shall approve all transfers between funds and departments;and WFIEREAS,the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2015-16 Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows: NOW.II1LRHFORE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2015-16 (Budget Amendment #34) for municipal purposes,as follows: 1.Amend the North and East Lubbock Neighborhood and Infrastructure Fund by increasing the appropriation for Oil and Gas Royalties revenue by $161,814. from $310,222 to $472,036. II. Amend the North and East Lubbock Neighborhood and Infrastructure Fund by increasing the appropriation for North and East Lubbock CDC by $130,880. from $232,667 to $363,547:and increasing the Transfer to CBD TIF by $30,934,from $77,556 to $108,490. III. Amend the Central Business District (CBD) TIF Fund by increasing the Transfer from the North and East Lubbock Neighborhood and Infrastructure Fund by $30,934,from $77,556 to $108,490. SECTION 2.THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Lubbock as required by law. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
