HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2016-O0085 - Budget Amendment 30 - 06/09/2016First Reading May 26, 2016 Item No. 5.8 ORDINANCE NO. 2016-00085 Second Reading June 9, 2016 Item No. 5.3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2015-16 BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES RESPECTING THE CAPITAL PROGRAM TO AMEND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (CIP) 92259, MULTI -COMPANY FIRE STATION 19: CIP 92348, NEW FIRE STATION 1; AND CIP 92366, EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER; PROVIDING FOR FILING; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council shall approve all transfers between funds and departments; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2015-16 Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINhD BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2015-16 (Budget Amendment #30) for municipal purposes, as follows: I. Amend Capital Improvement Project 92259, Multi -Company Fire Station 19. by decreasing the appropriation and funding by $135,896, from $4,378,084 to $4,242,188, and closing the project. II. Amend Capital Improvement Project 92348, New Fire Station 1, by decreasing the FY 2015 Tax Supported Revenue Certificates of Obligation by $135,896. from $4,765,000 to $4,629,104 and increasing the FY 2014 Tax Supported Revenue Certificates of Obligation by $135,896, from $0.00 to $135,896. III. Amend Capital Improvement Project 92366, Emergency Operations Center, by increasing the appropriation by $135,896, from $6,728,800 to $6,864,696. The funding source will be the 2015 Tax Supported Revenue Certificate of Obligations moved from Capital Improvement Project 92348, New Fire Station 1. The additional funding will be used for equipment for the Emergency Operations Center. SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Lubbock as required by law. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
