AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF 135th
STREET.A STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY (STREET STUB),LOCATED IN BLOCK AK,
SECTION 4, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK,LUBBOCK COUNTY,
TEXAS AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS
ORDINANCE;DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL
MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING;
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE;AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the street right-of-way hereinafter
described in the body of this Ordinance is no longer needed for street right-of-way
purposes and for public use; and it would be in the public interest to close,vacate and
abandon the same for street right-of-way purposes and for public use, and abandon the
same;NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1.THAT the street right-of-way as hereinafter described shall BE and
the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for street right-of-way purposes and
for public use. such street right-of-way being more particularly described as Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark
the official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing,
showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence,phrase,clause or
word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason,the
remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized
and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an
alternative method provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.

(OPRLM located in Section 4, Block AK, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod with cap found in the South right-of-way line of said 135tb Street and the Northam
boundary of a 49.957 acre tract of land as described under County Clerk File Number 2015009899 of the Official Public
Records of Lubbock County, Texas, at the Northwest comer of this tract, which bears S. 01°4813" W. a distance of
1505.69 feet and S. 88" 13W E. a distance of 1103.93 feet from the Northwest comer of Section 4, Block AK, Lubbock
County, Texas;
THENCE S. 8801329" E. a distance of 82.00 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap found in the South right -of --way line of said
135th Sheet and the Northern boundary of said 48.957 acre tract at the Northeast comer of this tract;
THENCE S. 46°4631" W., along the South right of way line of said 135th Street and the Northern boundary of said
48.957 acre tract, a distance of 21.21 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap found at the Southeast comer of this trace
THENCE N. 88" 13'29" W., continuing along the South right of way line of said 135th Street and the Northern boundary
of said 48.957 acre tract, a distance of 52.00 feet to a 12" imn rod with cap found at the Southwest comer of this tram

of said 48.957 acre tract, a distance of 21.21 feet to the Point of Beginning.
