HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2017-O0046 - Budget Amendment 22 - 04/27/2017First Reading April 13, 2017 Item No. 6.4 �91 1 •11�• Second Reading April 27, 2017 Item No. 6.4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2016-17 BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES RESPECTING THE VEHICLE DEBT FINANCING PROGRAM; AND RESPECTING THE GENERAL FUND TO INCREASE FIRE EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE OTHER CAPITAL EQUIPMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A TRAILER MOUNTED AIR COMPRESSOR; PROVIDING FOR FILING; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council shall approve all transfers between funds and departments; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2016-17 Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2016-17 (Budget Amendment #22) for municipal purposes, as follows: I. Amend the FY 2016-17 Vehicle Debt Financing Program by decreasing the amended financing amount by $40,000, from $7,698,767 to 7,658,767. The skid steer for Park Maintenance will be cash funded from the Risk Management Fund. II. Amend the FY 2016-17 Vehicle Debt Financing Program by decreasing the amended financing amount by $100,000, from $7,658,767 to 7,558.767. The trailer mounted breathable air compressor for Fire will be cash funded from the General Fund. III. Amend the FY 2016-17 General Fund Operating Budget by increasing Fire Equipment Maintenance Other Capital Equipment by $98.273, from $0 to $98,273, for the purchase of a trailer mounted breathable air compressor. SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Lubbock as required by law. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
