RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to execute
for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock, a Dedication Deed, by and between the City of
Lubbock and Lubbock Entertainment &Performing Arts Association,and related documents.
Said Dedicatory Deed is attached hereto and incorporated in this resolution as if fully set
forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the City Council.

That CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS and LUBBOCK ENTERTAINMENT &
PERFORMING ARTS ASSOCIATION are the Owners (hereinafter referred to as the "Owner") of
the following described real property:
METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION of the plat limits of Lots 1-A, 1-B and 2-A, Block 1,
Memorial Center Addition, a replat of the remainders of Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Memorial Center
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, according to the map, plat and/or
dedication deed thereof recorded in Volume 1349, Page 521 of the Deed Records of Lubbock
County, Texas (DRLCT), and the East 15' of the South 15' of Lot 3 and all of Lots 4-7, Block 4
of the Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, according to the map, plat and/or
dedication deed thereof recorded in Volume 5, Page 384, DRLCT, and a portion of Avenue "M",

and abandoned by quit claim deed recorded in Volume 1338, Page 818, DRLCT, and that portion
of the previously dedicated alley located within Block 4 of the Original Town of Lubbock closed
by ordinance No. 2016-00165, being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod with cap found in the North right-of-way line of Mac Davis
Lane as dedicated by plat recorded in Volume 5, Page 384, DRLCT, at the original most
Southerly Southeast corner of said Lot 2 and the most Southerly Southeast corner of this tract;
THENCE N. 88018'46" W., along the North right-of-way line of said Mac Davis Lane, a
distance of 1176.20 feet to a 3/8" iron rod found in the East right-of-way line of Avenue "0" as
dedicated by plat recorded in Volume 1349, Page 521, DRLCT at a point of curvature for the
most Southerly Southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE Northwesterly, along said East right-of-way line, along a curve to the right, said curve
having a radius of 25.00 feet, a central angle of 117015'50", tangent lengths of 41.01 feet, a chord
distance of 42.69 feet and a chord bearing of N. 29°40'51" W. to a 1/2" iron rod with cap found
at a point of reverse curvature, at the most Westerly Southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE Northeasterly, continuing along said East right-of-way line, along a curve to the left,
said curve having a radius of 488.00 feet, a central angle of 27°15'50", tangent lengths of 118.35
feet, a chord distance of 230.03 feet and a chord bearing of N. 15°19'09" E. to a 1/2" iron rod
with cap found at a point of tangency;
THENCE N. 01 °41' 14" E., continuing along said East right-of-way line, a distance of 352.08
feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap found in the South right-of-way line of Marsha Sharp Freeway as
described in Volume 7235, Page 120 of the Real Property Records of Lubbock County, Texas, at
the most Westerly Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N. 51046'45" E., along said South right-of-way line, a distance of 52.43 feet to a 1/2"
iron rod with cap found at a point of intersection, at the most Northerly Northwest corner of this
tract;
THENCE Southeasterly, continuing along said South right-of-way line, along a curve to the left,
said curve having a radius of 1362.77 feet, a central angle of 06°09'49", tangent lengths of 73.37
feet, a chord distance of 146.53 feet and a chord bearing of S. 85°05'37" E. to a 1/2" iron rod
with cap found at a point of tangency;
THENCE S. 88010'30" E., continuing along said South right-of-way line, a distance of 593.49
feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap found;
THENCE N. 89016'54" E., continuing along said South right-of-way line, a distance of 20.02
feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap found;
THENCE S. 85028'46" E., continuing along said South right-of-way line, a distance of 95.13
feet to a point for the most Northerly Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S. 43018'54" E., continuing along said South right-of-way line, a distance of 42.41
feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap marked "WSC" found in the West right-of-way line of Avenue
"L" as granted by plat recorded in Volume 1349, Page 521, DRLCT for the most Easterly
Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S. 01 °41' 14" W., along said West right-of-way line, a distance of 3.17 feet to an 80
penny nail found at a point of curvature;
THENCE Southeasterly, continuing along said West right-of-way line, along a curve to the left,
said curve having a radius of 598.00 feet, a central angle of 31 °30'59", tangent lengths of 168.75
feet, a chord distance of 324.81 feet and a chord bearing of S.14'04' 15" E. to a 1/2" iron rod with
cap set for a point of tangency;
THENCE S. 29049'45" E., continuing along said West right-of-way line, a distance of 291.35
feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap found at a point of curvature for the most Easterly Southeast
corner of this tract;
THENCE Southwesterly, continuing along said West right-of-way line, along a curve to the
right, said curve having a radius of 25.00 feet, a central angle of 121'30'59", tangent lengths of
44.66 feet, a chord distance of 43.63 feet and a chord bearing of S. 30'55'45" W. to the POINT
OF BEGINNING (the "Property).
That Owner does hereby plat and dedicate the Property into the lots, designating streets,
alleys, easements and other public properties, as shown on and in accordance with the attached map
prepared by Brent Carroll, a licensed surveyor for the State of Texas, on the J- a 7 z U / T
and approved by the City Planning Commission of the City of
Lubbock, County of Lubbock, State of Texas, on the 3' `" day of M, 2016;

That Owner desires to have the Property platted, dedicated and duly filed for record as
required by law, all as shown on the attached map; and
That in consideration of the premises and special benefits to the remainder of the Property
in the area, Owner does hereby DEDICATE all the streets, alleys, easements and other public
properties (surface and/or underground) thereon shown and designated upon said map to the
PUBLIC FOR PUBLIC USE FOREVER; and by these presents does impress the name of "Lots 1-
A, 1-13 and 2-A, Block 1, Memorial Center Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texas" upon the Property for the correct reference and description thereof as indicated upon the
attached map, and does hereby adopt the name hereinabove stated and impress the same upon the
Property, incorporating said map as a part of this dedication.
This instrument shall not be construed as an instrument of conveyance of any type, and the
Owner shall continue to own, subsequent to the dedication and platting, the same interest in the
same parcel as owned prior to this dedication and platting.
