Vandiver, First City Attorney DGV:da/ccdocs/texastch.res August 28, 1996 RESOLUTION NO. 5285 September 26, 1996 Item #8 STATE OF TEXAS § § INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT COUNTY OF LUBBOCK § The parties to the agreement are the City of Lubbock, Texas (hereinafter CITY) and Texas Tech University (hereinafter TTU). TTU will provide an engineering student for not less than twenty (20) hours per week for each year under this contract to do work associated with data collection and sorting, sample collection, possible testing associated with the disposal of treated effluent and sludge by agricultural application, ammonia stripping, determination of the fate of nitrogen from the wastewater plant to the land application site, analysis of crop production relative to nitrogen application, and analysis of changes in soil fertility. The initial term of this agreement shall be for one (1) year commencing no later than October 1, 1996. Thereafter, this agreement may be renewed for three (3) successive terms of one (1) year upon mutual agreement of the parties expressed in writing not less than thirty (30) days prior to expiration of the prior term. In consideration of the performance of the work set forth in Article 1, CITY agrees to pay TTU the amount of $9,600 for each year under this agreement and any additional terms hereof. Grants and Contracts Accounting Texas Tech University Lubbock, TX 79409-1105 This agreement may be terminated by either party upon thirty (30) days written notice to the other party. Each party hereto agrees to hold the other party harmless from any claim for damages arising out of the acts or omissions of its own agents or employees to the extent permitted by the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas.
