HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 5281 - Dedication Deed - Platting Trat M-4, Whisperwood Addition - 09/26/1996RESOLUTION NO.5281 September 26, 1996 Item #4 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Dedication Deed in connection with the platting of Tract M-4, Whisperwood Addition, attached hereto and which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Passed by the City Council this 26th day of September , 1996. ALEX "TY" COOKE, MAYOR PRO TEM ATTEST: A,*n1div4i1111Zard-, Interim City Secretary APPROVED AS TO CONTENT: Ed Bucy, Right -of -Way gent APPROVED AS TO FORM: &44 �7j-K� arold Willard, Assistant City Attorney HW js/DD-KCB.RES ccdocs/August 23, 1996 RESOLUTION NO.5281 September 26, 1996 Item #4 THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF LUBBOCK This is to certify that the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality of the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, is the owner of a tract of land, more particularly described as follows: A 1.291 acre tract of land being an original portion of Tract "M", Whisperwood Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas as shown by the map, plat, and/or Dedication Deed thereof recorded in Volume 1917, Page 530 of the Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, and further described as follows: BEGINNING at a cross in concrete found in the West right-of-way line of Slide Road at the Southeast comer of said Tract "M" for the Southeast comer of this tract; THENCE N. 89057'20" W. along the South line of said Tract "M", a distance of 224.59 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap set for the Southwest comer of this tract; THENCE North a distance of 249.92 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap set for the Northwest comer of this tract; THENCE S. 89059'20" E. a distance of 224.95 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap set in the East line of said Tract "M" and said West right-of-way line for the Northeast comer of this tract; THENCE South, along said East line and said West right-of-way line, a distance of 236.13 feet to a 1/2" square metal tube found at a point of curvature of a curve to the right having a radius of 287.22 feet; THENCE Southwesterly, along said curve having a chord bearing of S. 01 ° 18'11 " W. and a central angle of 02°45'29", a chord of distance 13.79 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Said CITY OF LUBBOCK does hereby plat the above described property into lots, designating streets, alleys and other public properties as thereon shown in accordance with the attached plat, prepared by K. C. Brown, a licensed surveyor for the State of Texas, on the day of 1996, and approved by the Planning Commission of the City of Lubbock on the day of 1996, and desiring to have the said property platted and duly filed for record as required by law, all as shown on the attached plat; NOW THEREFORE; KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: THAT for and in consideration of the special benefits to the remainder of our property said CITY OF LUBBOCK does hereby DEDICATE all the streets, alleys and other public properties thereon shown and designated upon said plat to the PUBLIC USE FOREVER; and by these presents, does impress the name of Tract M4, Whisperwood Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, upon said property for the correct reference and description thereto by lots and blocks as indicated upon the attached plat, and said CITY OF LUBBOCK does hereby adopt the name hereinabove stated and impress the same upon said land, incorporating said plat as a part of this dedication.
