HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2020-R0288 - Establishing a Date for a Public Hearing Concerning Impact FeesResolution No. 2020-RO288 Item No. 8.18 August 25, 2020 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock (the "City Council") appointed a Capital Improvements Advisory Committee in accordance with Section 395.058 of the Texas Local Government Code to work with City staff and consultants to develop a recommendation for the implementation of impact fees to fund certain future infrastructure needs; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 395 of the Texas Local Government Code, the City Council held a public hearing on May 28, 2020 which continued on June 23, 2020 where the City Council, through Resolution No. 2020-RO211, approved the land use assumptions and capital improvements plan; and WHEREAS, Section 395.047 of the Texas Local Government Code requires that the City Council conduct a public hearing to discuss the imposition of impact fees; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: THAT the City Council shall hold a public hearing to consider the imposition of impact fees; and THAT the public hearing will be held at a special called meeting of the City Council of the City of Lubbock, TX on October b, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. at the following location: Citizen's Tower, located at 1314 Avenue K, Lubbock, TX.
