HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 6024 - Waive Right To Apply For Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant - 10/08/1998Resolution,No. 6024 Item No. 27 October 8, 1998 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, certain block grant funds in the amount of One Hundred Twenty One Thousand Three Hundred Thirty Nine and No/100 Dollars ($121,339) (the "Funds") is designated for allocation to the City of Lubbock through the Criminal Justice division of the State of Texas; and WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock desires to waive their right to apply for a Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant; and WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock designates Lubbock County as the recipient of the Funds; and WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock agrees to appoint one member to serve on the Juvenile Crime Enforcement Coalition created by the County of Lubbock; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby waives its right to apply for a Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant and designates Lubbock County as the recipient of the Funds. Be it further resolved that the Juvenile Sergeant of the City of Lubbock Police Department is hereby designated to serve on the Juvenile Crime Enforcement Coalition as created by the County of Lubbock.
