Said Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated in this resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the City Council. POPE, MAYOR AT ST: A(4& Rebecca Garza, City Secre ary APPROVED AS TO CONTENT: W. i rrett Atkinson, City Manager FORM: Assistant City Attorney ccdocs/RES.Amend # 1 to Agrmt- Lobbying Consulting Services June 8, 2020 Resolution No. 2020-RO225 AMENDMENT To LOBBYING CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT This Amendment to Lobbying Consulting Services Agreement ("Amendment') is entered into on this, the 14th day of July 2020 by and between the City of Lubbock, Texas, a Texas municipal corporation ("City") and Blackridge of Austin, Texas ("Blackridge"), collectively the "Parties". WHEREAS, the Parties entered into a Lobbying Consulting Services Agreement (the "Agreement") dated August 23, 2018 (Resolution No. 2018-R0272) setting forth certain terms and conditions respecting the engagement of Blackridge for lobbying consulting services on behalf of City; and WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for a term of two (2) years; and WHEREAS, the Parties now desire to extend the term of the Agreement for an additional two (2) years, as set forth below, with all other provisions of the Agreement remaining unchanged. NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the Parties hereto agree to amend, and do amend, the Agreement as follows: The first sentence of Article 1, Section 1.1 shall read as follows: "The contract shall be for a term of four years beginning upon formal approval." The Parties further agree that all other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall continue in full force and effect for all purposes. CITY OF LUBBOCK L—� DANIEL M.
