AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY
CONSENT AGENDA
ITEM #/SUBJECT:
# Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a street -use license
with Chaparral Motors for two parking spaces (304 Avenue Q).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
This street -use license allows Chaparral Motors at the southwest comer of 3'"
Street and Avenue Q to park two cars in the south street right-of-way of aro
Street, just west of Avenue Q. Their sales lot at this location is very full with very
little room for their customers as well as their own personal vehicles.
Environmental Inspection will ticket their vehicles if they park in this street right-
of-way. The owners of Chaparral Motors desire to park their own personal
vehicles in the right-of-way. The Planning and Zoning Department has approved
this use and the right-of-way is wider than normal at this location (12 -feet) which
will still allow pedestrian access.
This license will be for 20 -years, payable every 5 years in advance. The
minimum fee of $50.00 per year will be charged for the two 9 -foot by 22 -foot
locations.
