() ........ :~---... 0-=1--1.2-1.951 ORDINANCE NO. 1106 C7-2(.[)-1.95 I AN ORDTiiiANCE ANENDHiG THAT PART OF SECTION VI OF ORDINANCE H0.661 RE.:GULATTI~G THE 1JSE OF LAND FOR ffFtt DISTRICTS, SO AS TO ENLARGE UPON USE PCR11ISSIBLE BY THE INCLUSION OF POSTER BOA.'IDS IN CERTAIN LOCATIONS AND ffirnER CERrAIN CONDITIONS. tvHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended to the City Commission that Zoning Ordinance No.661 be amended to enlarge upon the uses '..rithin the 11F11 business district, and the City Commission caused notice of hearing on the proposed change to be published in the Lubbock ~brning Avalanche on J une 21,1951 , June 22, 1951 , and June 23, 1 951 and said notice having been so published and the public hearing held according thereto in the City Commission r0om on the first floor of the City Hall in the Gi ty of Lubbock at ,11()11 P.M., on Ju?!J, 1& 1/IJ£1 , at which time sundry persons appear~d ·at the hearing t opromote as well as to oppose the passage of said ordinance; and after the said hearing the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions existing in the City of Lubbock, to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 661 in sub-stantial compliance with the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission, THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CONMISSION OF THe CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Section VI of Ordinance No. 661, providing regulations for ttpn Dintricts, BE and the same is hereby amended to read as follo'tors: REGULATIONS FOR DISTRICT "F" In an f1Ftt District no building or land shall be used and no building shall be hereafter erected or structurally altered which is arranged or designed to be used for other than one or more of the following uses: (1) Any use permitted in any of the foregoing districts. (2) Bank, office, studio (3) Gasoline filling station. (4) Restaurant or cafe. (5) Retail pressing, dyeing and cleaning shops. (6) Retail store, barber shop, beauty parlor, and other shops for custom work or the making of articles to be sold at retail on the premises. Provided that no "Second-hand goods" store or yards '\-till be permitted in the 11F11 District or "Gil District. (7) Washaterias. (Ord. 800, January 23, 1947). (8) Advertising Signs, in connection with the business use of the premises. (9) Poster Boards, l-then such poster boards are located as follol-rs: a. On the roof of a commercial structure. b. Attached to, or within three (3')feet, and parallel to the wall of a commercial building. L. --· ._) ·" n c. On vacant property, provided such poster board is not within one hundred and twenty-five (1251 ) feet of any property zoned for residential pur-poses that fronts on the same street as the poster '-board. Provided also, that in case a poster board--is erected on a corner lot, both streets shall be considered fronting streets regardless of the actual direction the poster board faces. d. In no event, shall a poster board be located closer to a property line than that allowed for a comrr~rcial structure. Further, that the set-back from a street shall be not less than the bui lding (s) adjacent thereto, and that for a farner lot location, the poster board shall be at least twenty-five (25•) feet from both streets. Provided further, that a permit be secured from t he Building Inspector for each poster board to be erected under the above provisions. A plat shall be submitted to the Building Inspector showing the proposed location of such poster board and the location of a~ buildings adjacent thereto. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
