HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 1109-1951 - Repeailing Ordinance 4656 - 07_12_1951~­-Repealed by Ordinance No. 4656 o+-12· t9SL ORDINANCE NO. 1109 0~-2<D-t..95 I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION TWENTY-THREE (23) OF THE PARKDiG 1•iETER ORDI-NANCE NO. 564 SO AS TO INCLUDE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND PROVIDTim A NE\-1 PARKING METER ZONE EHBRACING THE NORTH SIDE OF FOURTEENTH (14th) STREET, FROM AVENUE K TO AVENUE L, AS A ONE (1) HOUR PARKING ZONE, AND PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ONE (1) HOUR METERS: REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES RELATING TO PARKING OU THAT PART OF THE STREET HEREDi DESIGNATED AND CONFLICTII\G ~IITH PRO-VISIONS OF ORDirlANCE N0.564, PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED ($100.00) DOLLARS, AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO PUBLISH THE CAPTION OF THIS ORDINANCE, TOOETHER ·wiTH THE PEl'lALTY CLAUSE, THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY 'coMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT, Section Twenty-three (23) of Ordinance No. 564 is hereby amended so as to change and modify the parking therein referred to, so as to in-clude the street herein designated, with the following provisions; 1. That, a parking meter zone is hereby designated and established in the City of Lubbock, Texas; said parking meter zone shall embrace that part of the following street hereinafter designated, which shall limit of parking as follows: One (1) hour zone, Parallel Parking (A) The North side of Fourteenth (14th) Street from Avenue K to Avenue L SECTION 2. THAT, the Chief of Police is directed to place one (1) hour parking meters and lines designating parallel parking on that portion of fourteent (14th) Street designated in Sec~ion One (1) of this Ordinance. SCCTION 3. THAT, all provisions of other Ordinances in conflict }dth the provisions of this Ordinance relating to parking meters on that part of the streets herein designated ~s hereby repealed, provided nothing herein shall ever be construed as repealing any part of Ordinance No. 564 except as herein expressly provided. SECTION 4. THAT, any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate, aid or abet the violation of any provision of this Ordinance and Ordinance No. 564 which it amends shall, upon conviction, be fined in any sum not exceeding One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars. SECTION 5. THAT, the City Secretary is hereby directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance, together with the penalty clause as an alternative method of publication as provided by law.
