WHEREAS, an area in front of 1502 Avenue K being the West side of Avenue K beginning at 15th Street and running South forty-five feet is needed in connection with the operation of a wholesale drug business that requires the loading and unloading of merchandise at the curb line in order to avoid obstructing traffic, THEREFORE; B:: IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMH[SSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT, the area in front of 1502 Avenue K being the West side of Avenue K beginning at 15th Street and running South forty-five feet is hereby designated as a loading zone. SECTION 2. THAT, the West curb_of Avenue K as described in Section One (1) shall be painted yellow with the following lettering: "LOADIHG ZOliE11 • SECTION 3. THAT, after the effective date of this ordinance it shall be unlawful for one to permit, allow or suffer a motor vehicle to stop in the area described in Section One (1) for any purpose other than while actually engaged in the loading and unloading of merchandise, and a person found guilty under this Ordinance is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined in any sum of money not more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars. ·
SECTION 4. THAT, the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to
publish the descriptive caption of this Ordinance together with Penalty Clause
No. Three (3) as an alternative method of publication provided by la'"·
