HUGHES COMPANY TOUSECERTAINPORTIONSOFTHEALLEYWAYINBLOCK74, ORIGINAL TOWNOFLUBBOCK, TEXAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ERECTING PLATFORM THEREON. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: That Ed S. Hughes Company of Abilene, TexAB, who are preparing to erect a wholesale hardware house on Lotel'4-5-5, in Block 74, of the Original Town of Lubbock, Texas, are hereby granted permission to erect all necessary platform or platforms adjoining said building in the alleyway adjoining said lots, described aB follows: BEGINNING at the S.E.00rner of Lot B; THENCE north with the east line of Lots Nos. 5 and B a distance of 44 feet; THENCE in a south- edsternly direction with the right -of -Ray of the P.& N.T.Ry.Co. a distance of 33 feet; THENCE south 19 feet; THENCE west 20 feet to the place of beginning. This permission is granted with the express understanding that said alleyway shall be used in such manner as not to unduly Interfere with the right of the adjoining property owner or owners across said alleyway in said black from the free ingress and egress to their said property. This permission shall extend for such period of time as such authority shall not be revoked by due action of the City Council or other governing body of the City of Lubbock. Such permission shall in no manner be deemed a waiver of the alleyway rights belonging to Bald city, and the grantees herein agree that such permission shall in no manner be a waiver of any vested rights therein by said city. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage abd approval as required by law. Passed and approved this D-day of Yff, A. D. 1917. 4 ATTEST: City secretary.
