Be it Ordai.nad by the City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas:--
Art 1 cls i. That it shallbe t3n1aW'u7 for any person twilo g veu11 gut, or to
wilfully cause to be given out, in the City of Lubbock, a false alarm of fire,
and any T>erson who shall wilfully give out, or wilfully cause to be
given out, in said City, a false alarm oaf fire, by the use of any kind
of means whatever that may be us-d for the purpose of creating such an
alarm, shall be guilty of an offense and upon convixtion for such offense shall
be fined in any sum not less than ten dollars and not more than fifty
dollars. Article 2. "'
hat it shall be unlawful for any parson to wilfully make anattempt wath
the Intent to create a false alarm of fire in the City of Lubbock by
the use of any kind of means whatever, and any person *vho shall wilfully make
an atteapt with the intent to create a false alarm of fire in said City
aka by false communications to other persons over the telephone wires or
otherwise, by causing Whistles to be blown, by ringing of belle or causing
bells to be Lung, by explosion of fire arms, or by nsa the use of any
other means Whatever, shall be guilty of an offense and, upon con- viction for
such offense shall be Fined in any sum not less than ten dol- lars and
not more than fifty dollars. Article 3,
That by the term "false &I.arrr_ of fire" as used in the two preceeding Articles
is here de'ined to mean in this Ordinance, any sij?nal orcomnrunicat3on given
out or caused to be given out, in any manner, for th, purpose of
creating in the minds of the inhabitants of said City an im- pression or
idea taht some house, building, or other property is then on fire. or
is in irrmedi.ate dahger of being de-9-tP4yed-b-1fr&rewhAn the ver- son, or
persons making or causing tmsuch signal, or making or causing such

communtcation to be Riven out, has no knowledge or reliable information that
some house, building or other property, is then on fiee or is in inzediate
danger of being destroyed by fire. and such parson, or persons, is causing
or attempting to cause such an alarm to be created wilfully for mischievous
effect.
Article 4. That it shall be unlawful for any person to maliciously
interfere with, or to maliciously meddle with, any automobile, wagon, cart,
vehicle, horse, team, harness, hose, implement, ladder reel, tool, or at-
tachment of any kind belonging to the City of Zubbock and used by the Fire
Department of said City, and any person who shall in any manner maliciously
interfere with, or who shall maliciously meddle with any automobile, wagon,
cart,, vehicle, horse, teem, ha3rnessi hose, implement, ladder, reel, tool,
or attachment of any kind al onging to the City of Lubbock and used by
the Fire Departtrent of said City shall be guilty of an offense and upon
conviction for such o"'fense shall be fined in any sum not less than ten
and not more than fifty Dollars,
Article 5. That it shall. be unlawful for any person to maliciously
interfere with, or to maliciously meddle with, the bell tower, or any bell
tower, belonging to the City d Lubbock, or to climb upon any such bell
tower without lawful authority, or to ring the bell on any such bell tower
Without lawful authority ao 'to do, and any such person who ehall rralicious-

bell tower without lawful authority, or who shall ring the bell on any such
bell tower without lawful authority so to do, shall be guilty of an offense
and, upon ^onviction for such o-Pfense shall be fined in any sum not lees
than ten dollars and not more than fifty dollars.
