AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF A POLL TAX OF ONE
DOLLAR ON EVERY MALE INHABITANT OF THE CITY OF UMBOCr, TEXAS, BETWEEN
THE AGES OF TWENTY --ONE AND SIXTY YEARS, IDIOTS AND LUNATICS EXCEPTED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCR, TEXAS:
Particle 1. That an annual poll tax of one dollar is hereby levied
on every male inhabitant of the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texas, between the ages of twenty-one and sixty years, idiots and luna-
tics excepted, for the year 1914, and said poll tax dhall be collected
as is provided by Law and the Ordinances of the City of Lubbock.
Passed and approved this the 12th day of January, A.D. 1914.
