RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock finds it to be in the best
interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock to approve the equipment and property to
be purchased as part of the Master Lease Program budgeted for the FY 2006-07
Operating Budget; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the equipment and property to be purchased as part of the Master Lease
Program budgeted for the FY 2006-07 Operating Budget shall be (i) as specified on
Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes; and (ii)
any equipment and property to be purchased as part of the Master Lease Program
budgeted in the FY 2006-07 Operating Budget, as approved by the City Council of the
City of Lubbock.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LUBBOCK:
THAT the inclusion of the equipment and property to be purchased as a part of the
Master Lease Program as (i) set forth on Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part
hereof for all intents and purposes; and (ii) any equipment and property to be purchased
as part of the Master Lease Program budgeted in the FY 2006-07 Operating Budget, as
approved by the City Council of the City of Lubbock, is hereby approved, and City
Manager and/or Chief Financial Officer and/or his/her designee(s), are hereby directed to
execute any and all document necessary to consummate such purchases.

Amount Description
$ 26,000 Jaws -of -Life Replacement (2nd year of 5 -year replacement program) —
replace five sets of cutting tools/power plants to be used with the Jaws -of -
Life.
54,000 Thermal Imaging Camera Replacement — replacement of four of the
thermal imaging cameras used by fire fighters. These cameras are carried
on every truck and engine in the city and are used daily in very harsh
environments. Four units now in service are being repaired to the extent
possible, but are in need of replacement.
1,680,000 Pumper Replacement - replace four 1,250 gallon pumpers.
30,000 Suburban Replacement - Replace I suburban assigned to Command I and
to the Training Division.
27,000 Addition of Sedans to Fleet - Furnish a vehicle I Fire Protection Engineer
approved in the 2005/06 budget year.
62,000 SUV Replacement - Replace two SUV's in the Fire Marshal's Office with
vehicles of larger capacity to accommodate additional investigative
equipment that has been issued into service in recent years.
23,000 Van Replacement - Replace one van used by the Storekeeper for the daily
transport of supplies / equipment to and from stations.
41,000 Pickup Truck Replacement - Replace two pickup trucks assigned to the
Shop Maintenance Division and to the Training Division.
65,000 Transport Truck Replacement — Replace current cab and chassis with a
larger and more powerful unit to accommodate the department's
developing fire educational safety program.
70,000 Hodges Community Center HVAC Replacement — replace the existing
HVAC system with a new, more efficient system.
110,000 Computer router for Information Technology
125,000 Phone switch for Information Technology
$2,313,000 Total of Master Lease Items = approximately $325,000 annual payment
