RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, by Resolution Number 2003-RO285 (the "Original Resolution"),
dated July 24, 2003, the City Council of the City of Lubbock established the Lubbock
Water Advisory Commission to review and evaluate various water and wastewater related
issues;
WHEREAS, by Resolution dated August 28, 2003, Resolution Number 2003-
R0354 (the "First Amended Resolution"), the Original Resolution was amended in certain
respects;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock desires to amend the
Original Resolution, as amended by the First Amended Resolution, to provide for a
quorum of four (4) members;
WHEREAS, the Lubbock Water Advisory Commission review of the water and
wastewater related matters described in the Resolution, as amended by the First Amended
Resolution and hereby, is important to ensure the future of a consistent supply of potable
water to the citizens of the City of Lubbock;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
1. THAT Resolution Number 2003-110285, as amended by the First
Amended Resolution, is amended by deleting paragraph 3 thereof in its entirety and
substituting the following:
3. THAT regular meetings will be held at times and locations
established by a majority of the Commission members once every three (3)
months, unless otherwise deemed necessary by the Commission. Four (4)
members shall constitute a quorum, and a majority vote of the quorum
shall be required for any action to be taken by the Commission. All
meetings and procedures shall be consistent with the policies of the City of
Lubbock concerning advisory Commissions and Boards.
2. Except as expressly amended hereby, and by the First Amended
on, Resolution Number 2003-80285 shall remain as originally provided.
