RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby authorizes and directs the
Mayor of the City of Lubbock to execute a Supplemental Agreement by and between the
City of Lubbock and Texas Tech University for installation and maintenance of traffic
signals on the Texas Tech University campus, which Supplemental Agreement and any
associated documents, are attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution for all
intents and purposes.
Passed by the City Council this 24th day of May , 2007.

SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS,
TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY IN THE
INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS
ON THE TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY CAMPUS
As provided for in Article 2 and Article 4, Paragraph C of the AGREEMENT FOR THE
INSTALLATION AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE OPERATION AND
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS ON THE TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY
CAMPUS IN LUBBOCK, TEXAS, as originally approved by the Lubbock City Council
on November 4, 2004 under Resolution No. 2004-RO553 (TECH Contract # 05-0417);
the City of Lubbock, Texas (City) , agrees to assist Texas Tech University (TECH) in the
installation of traffic signals on the TECH campus at Lubbock, Texas as follows:
1. Additions and Improvements to the Existing Traffic Signals at Parkway and
Indiana Avenue,
2. New Traffic Signals at Parkway and 10`h Street, and
3. New Traffic Signals at Parkway and Knoxville Avenue.
Compensation for the City's contribution to the project shall be as follows:
A. The maximum amount under this agreement without modification for the
construction listed in Attachment A is $68,124. A cost estimate of the work
authorized under this agreement is marked "Attachment A," attached hereto and
made a part of this agreement.
B. TECH will reimburse the City the cost of furnishing and installing the traffic
signal equipment according to the location and manner of construction as shown
and described in the plans and specifications.
C. TECH will reimburse the City for properly supported costs incurred under the
terms and conditions of this agreement. Reimbursement will be made by TECH
to the City for labor, equipment use, materials, supplies, travel expenses, and
warehouse or material handling charges provided the City has paid from City
funds their obligations covering items of costs previously billed.
D. The City shall comply with the cost principles established in OMB Circular A-87,
"Cost Principles for State and Local Governments."
The TECH contact for this agreement will be the Managing Director, Department of
Grounds Maintenance.
Exhibit I of the original agreement is hereby modified to add a fifth Type I signalized
intersection: Texas Tech Parkway & 10"' Street.
